Interview By:

— How would you describe the apartment and the style of its interior?

Charleen: “This luxury holiday apartment is in fact a modern penthouse perched on top of an amazing piece of Modernista architecture, offering large windows and spectacular views over Barcelona. It combines Nordic elements with Mediterranean charm. Cool whites are balanced with splashes of colour from cushions and plants.

Hand-picked pieces include the elegant coat hooks made from Legna wood and bronze by Chilean design studio Bravo, design classics like the 1950s Butterfly Ercol chairs and contemporary olive green Vitra Corniche shelves.

All of this fuses together to create a stylish and individual atmosphere.”

— Please tell us a bit about the facilities at the apartment.

Charleen: “Holiday guests can expect a fully equipped kitchen with high-end appliances such as fridge, dishwasher, induction hob, toaster, juicer, coffee maker etc. You will also have cupboards stocked with tea, coffee, herbs and spices, olive oil and vinegar so there is no need to run out and get the essentials upon arrival in Barcelona.

The penthouse has satellite TV, free Wifi and air-conditioning in the main living space. For longer stays, we also have a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a refreshing rain shower and stocked with fluffy white towels. Lots of storage space can be found in the cosy bedroom, which has a king-size Swissflex mattress and fine bed linen.”

— In your opinion, what makes this holiday apartment so special?

Charleen: “The oversized arch window is what really makes the space. As a central hub it not only allows in lots of light, it also gives glorious views of the Barcelona city rooftops and buildings.

The terrace with its sun loungers makes it easy for holiday guests to really relax. There is a very impressive view with Montjuïc mountain in the distance. Alternatively, the sunroom with its floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors and sofa is ideal for an afternoon nap.”

— Do you offer any additional services to your holiday guests?

Charleen: “To ensure that they have a good stay, we help our guests with queries like where they can learn Spanish, where they can rent bikes, recommendable places to eat and any other advice to get them acquainted with Barcelona.

We also have good relations with external companies, so transfers, winery visits, walking tours and more are easy to arrange.”
