How would you describe Artist Villa in a nutshell?

Artist Villa is a fully staffed luxury villa rental straight out of a dream. On 13 acres in the Marrakech Palmeraie area it comes with private gardens, 9 bedroom suites, a heated swimming pool, hammam and a tennis court. Imagine it almost like an extensive playground for adults, with all the amenities and services you can think of.

Artist Villa rooms & rates

Artist Villa is just 15 mins from Marrakech, in the well-known Palmeraie area. A large courtyard sits at the center of Artist Villa’s property with all 9 bedrooms laid out around it. The shared common areas include a living room, dining room, a reading as well as a meeting room.

The house is surrounded by large gardens. Imagine yourself in a huge private park with palm and olive trees. There is a botanical garden, outdoor dining areas, a heated swimming pool, and giant mattresses lay out under olive trees. The atmosphere at Artist Villa is very relaxing and inviting to lay back and do nothing.

There are 9 bedroom suites as well as one extra single bedroom at the villa, which makes Artist Villa big enough for up to 19 guests at a time.

Each room is unique in its style, size, and individual layout. Some rooms have an independent entrance, a private terrace or garden. Bedroom Chamelle, for example, can be recognized because of a large camel statue within the room. It is located on the first floor and has a private terrace. From Bedroom Dog’s private terrace and balcony guests can overlook the olive grove. This suite has a bedroom, sitting area, a large dressing room as well as an extra small room with a lounging bed.

In comparison to its contemporary architecture, the interior design of the villa is rather playful with large animal sculptures all around. You will find a giraffe looking over your shoulder at dinner and possibly even a giant ant on your bedroom wall.

Things to do in Marrakech

  • Art / Culture
  • Shopping / Markets
  • Massages / Treatments
  • Golf
  • Tennis
  • Hiking
  • Cycling
  • Horseback riding

There is a lot to do at Artist Villa such as relax at our hammam, get massages, play tennis on our private court, meditate in one of the many hidden places, explore fun spots such as our olive tree labyrinth, climb the platform on the old pistachio tree, go see the giant pumpkin fields and the ‘house of giants’. We also have a gym, swimming pool, putting green and a ping-pong table as well as games, books and a large DVD library.

Guests can also go on helicopter and airplane tours, try out camel and horseback riding, go skiing, play squash or golf, go hiking, hunting, or even whitewater rafting. In Marrakech there are several important museums, monuments and historic sites that are worth visiting.

And finally, the diverse natural environments of Morocco are definite highlights. I would recommend going to see the stone desert, go hiking in the mountains and maybe even take a trip to the beach.

The location of Artist Villa

Artist Villa is located in the Bab Atlas area of the famous Palmeraie right outside of Marrakech in central Morocco. It is a beautiful area with palm trees and olive groves, and very close to the busy city. Within just a short 15 minute drive you can reach Marrakech city center, it is only 10 mins to the Medina, and the airport is less than half an hour away.

Marrakech is an incredible city with a historic past and a colorful presence. It is full of life and never ceases to amaze its visitors. And just outside of the city borders you can find a wide range of different landscapes, such as the Atlas Mountains that are just off to the south.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

The best temperatures for visits to this area of Morocco are during the spring and fall months when it is not as hot during the day. In the winter guests can go skiing and then return to this area’s warmer climate for dinner. I can only recommend visiting in the summer if guests like extreme temperatures.
